reinforcing feminist sterotypes
this book has a great deal of stereotypes, but the one that really stands out is the stereotypes on women. A perfect example of this is at the beginning of the book their are two brothers one with 7 daughters and one with seven sons. the one that possess 7 sons is supposedly "special", and the one who has 7 daughters is considered the unlucky one. women in this book are considered as property, their husbands have to take care of them. they are like a burden, one of the characters even described them as children, another described our main character as a tag along.
